Good Morning Villagers
Today is Shirley’s special Birthday, Shhhhh!!, she’s 50 yrs old, and Nick has penned this wonderful poem to you. Happy Birthday Shirley
TO SHIRLEY
An auspicious occasion, on this special day,
For a most special lady, I really must say!!
A day full of happiness, laughter, and cheer,
A memorable milestone, with an ”O” in the year!!
A day too, for memories,
And an occasional tear,
As you pause in reflection,
For those you held dear
Here’s to friends brought together,
(I believe it was fate)
By an Osprey whose story
You now write, and relate
Weekly we hang on your well chosen words,
As you bring us a diary of our magical birds,
So tirelessly working, compiling our books,
Our Shirley turns heads, with admiring looks!!
So let us unite, as we all raise a glass,
In toast to a lady with such style and panache!
Cemented in friendship, this tale without end,
Happy Fiftieth Shirley, my most special friend.
A VERY HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY!!!

Nestcap for 10th June 2012 Fish Deliveries ~ 400.10 Lady awake and looking around for a minute then puts her head back down
00.21 Lady up and goes to the edge of the nest flapping her wings then makes her way back to the nestcup
00.23 Lady settles back down now
00.44 Lady sleeping
01.01 Lady preens for a few minutes
01.05 She now settles down
01.11 Lady up for a loo break then straight back down to the chick
01.26 Lady sleeping now
01.55 She tucks her head under her wing now
01.56 For the next 30 minutes she keeps lifting her head up and back down then back to sleep
02.36 She’s sleeping
03.31 Lady getting a decent sleep tonight
03.32 Getting light now
03.57 Lady awake and preens04.02 Back to sleep
04.08 Day camera comes on
04.44 Lady sitting looking out towards the loch
04.58 Lady up and flies off and straight back onto her perch and preens
04.59 Laddie arrives with a FISH delivery, Just a small one for now
05.02 Laddie flies off
05.14 Laddie’s back
05.15 Now he’s off again
05.18 Lady settles down with the chick now
06.02 Lady dozing
06.19 Laddies back
06.21 Laddie stand guard on the edge of the nest keeping look out while Lady preens……Again!!06.22 Chick’s up now and straight in a poop shot, then watches Mum. Laddie flies off again
06.23 Lady’s off too, but straight back onto her perch
06.28 Lady settles back down with her chick now
07.36 Lady preening again, chick sleeping
07.46 Lady must have the best preened feathers in Scotland, she is STILL at it
07.58 She moves over to the other side of the nest now, and preens
08.02 Lady finally settles down again

08.23 All this preening make Lady tires as she nods off for a minute
08.24 Laddie arrives with bark now
08.27 He’s off again
08.35 Lady sitting just keeping an eye out on everything going on

back up and off to the edge of the nest and preens some more08.44 She’s off
0846 Back again and settles back down with the chick 08.59 Lady settled on her nest with Rocket cosily under her wings 09.10 All seems quiet at Lowes this morning _ Lady lying on the nest 10.02 Lady on side of nest and chick lying down 10.52 Lady sitting on the nest – looks grey at Lowes but dry, thank goodness 11.24 Marge had a visitor on the nest!! A Jay!!! 11.36 FISH DELIVERY!! 11.44 CHICK BEING FED 11.54 Not so little Rocket looks stuffed, but Mum seems to be determined he will eat everything on the plate. LOL 13.42 Rocket stuffed full. Nice close up.
13.49 FISH delivery!! 13.53 A stuffed Rocket being stuffed even further. 14.24 CHICK BEING FED 14.36 LADY STANDING AT THE SIDE OF THE NEST – CHICK LOOKS FULL UP! 15.09 LADDIE ARRIVED BACK AT THE NEST MOVING THE BRANCHES AROUND, SEEMED TO PUT ONE DOWN WITH SUCH FORCE! 15.11 LADDIE FLIES OFF, CHICK HAD BEEN TRYING TO MOVE A FEW TWIGS, THEN LOOKED AS THOUGH IT WAS TRYING TO INCUBATE THE EGGS. NOW CHICK MOVING BITS OF MOSS AROUND 15.14 Rocket looks too full to move much 15.17 What a lovely closeup of Rocket – he is just beautiful! He’s growing into his looks now too – losing that reptilian look and getting proper osprey features with mask and hooked beak. Lovely to see the feathers starting to pin as well, and it 
looks like the head feathers are growing dark with white bits in among them. 16.14 Lady standing on the edge of the nest preening and the chick is sleeping just now 16.30 A REAL FAMILY SCENE 18.09 Lady preening on the edge of the nest and the chick sleeping 18.52 The chick comes out from under Lady and lays beside her 19.47 Lady flies off and chick looking to see where she has gone 19.48 Lady straight back 19.50 Lady settle back down 20.20 Lady still sitting and looking around 20.21 New update at Lowes – also mentions Dyfi:http://blogs.scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk/osprey/
20.39 Lady preening 21.07 Decent sized FISH delivery!! 21.08 Laddie’s off now 21.35 After Lady and the Chick have a good feed Lady settles down with the chick 21.50 Lady still settled in the same position 22.10 Laddie lands and flies off with the leftovers. 22.15 Lady laying down and facing the loch, looks as though she is sleeping 22.24 Infra Red Camera on now 22.39 Lady sleeping 23.40 Lady still settled and the chick has its head sticking out
