    • Thanks Angela. Lovely little bird. I was lucky enough to see one on the east coast as we came back from Scotland but they are always difficult to get a good clear view. Hope you are O.K.

    • That is a pretty little bird, and what journeys they make.
Birding friend went to Thurlstone this morning to see a Desert Wheatear. When he got home he was very pleased to have seen it. He doesnt take photos, just adds it to his list of “seen”.

    • That’s lovely, thanks ANGELA

    • Awwww ANGELA, what a lovely idea. It’s sad that old dogs don’t often get rehomed. A friend of mine did in fact take in an old dog some years ago. It was with her for just a few years before it had to be put to sleep. I think it would be just as distressing to have to say good bye to an animal after a shorter time as when one has been with you…[Read more]

    • I think thats a brilliant idea. Well done Trelogan Animal rescue centre.

Where are your friends staying Lorna, several Tinsel and Turkey hotels here in Tenby.

    • Lorna replied 1 year ago

I wont know until they get back ANGELA, they just said Pembrokeshire. I think its the first Tinsel and Turkey trip they have been on, and they were eager to get away from stress, and the depression of all thats happening in their family. I just hope it will do them good.

Lovely photos. I love the frosted cobwebs.
My friends are on a Tinsel and Turkey trip this week to Pembrokeshire. Their trip (coach) would have had an horrendous traveling journey with the weather.

    Thank you Erica.
Lovely paintings a very talented mother,
I am struggling to come to terms with the loss of two friends very close together at the beginning of the month, with Fiona writing about her two Dads made me mention it then.
It\’s still very wet here with more to come,so hope you are all safe and dry.

    • I am sorry about your friends. It’s very hard to bear. One of my close school friends died in June and I still can’t come to terms with it. I know many of us on here are grieving. I am just inspired by their courage.

When it comes to my mother, whom I loved dearly, she had a small talent for painting but in later life every day she painted or…[Read more]

    • So sorry you have lost your two friends, you will miss them terribly ANGELA.
Quite a few of our friends have died in the last two or three years, we are a little removed from them as they are mostly in Derbyshire. I think it’s very hard to see your contemporaries departing because it’s an age thing and we don’t take to old age very well and it…[Read more]
