What a thrilling tennis match yesterday, WELL DONE ANDY, his win and JAMIE’s win is the only good news we are getting at the moment. All due to their hard work, or more like slog, they deserve everything they have. Pure entertainment, puts the likes of Trump and BREXIT to shame! Long may they reign. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

JENNY, I watched it from halfway through the match, as Brother rang in. Yes, well done, all the hard work paid off. I thought that Andy at times looked tired, especially after loosing the advantage a couple of times, his shoulders drooped, and I did wonder if he had enough strength in him to win the match. Was pleased to see Jamie also collect a…[Read more]

There are a pair of red deer skulls and antlers in a red deer museum up near Torridon in Wester Ross. Locked together in battle the same as the moose. We’ve visited it a couple of times. Thanks for posting all your links MARION.

So sorry about both your Dads FIONA, both so very poorly at the end, as you say, it will be of comfort that they are together now and out of pain and distress. A horrible time for those left behind and always seem to happen near Christmas. Jxxx

This is the latest photo of Evie left and Grace right taken last week on an outing to the local farm/zoo, I think it might be the one at Darley Dale (Flash) for anyone that knows the area. Very runny nose and mucky boots, that’s life in the countryside!

The other one is Buffy and Isla a little while ago trying to share a shaft of sunlight on one…[Read more]

    • My word Jenny – I can’t believe how much those two little girls have grown. They are lovely.
Brin loves lying in the sun too although I know he shouldn’t really. Buffy and Isla are so lucky to have each other to snuggle up to.

Young twins and two dogs – what other company does one need! Great photos JENNY, how fast small children seem to grow don’t they.

Aww, Buffy and Isla squished up together to get some warmth from the sun, lovely.

Thanks for letting us know about FIONA’s Dad, so sorry.

Hope you got rid of all that stickiness! Its far from sticky here, temp. down to -2c last night, frost on the garden. Am still suffering with the ‘bug’ both of us are, it’s at the thick horrible stage now so not sleeping very well. Maurice is on Amoxicillin, I will be asking for some…[Read more]

Yesterday in Threave gardens was this beautiful Acer hanging on bravely to it leaves, as you see the sky was a lovely shade of blue, shortly afterwards it rained:-

FIONA – My sympathies on the death of your Father, may he rest in peace.

    Love Jenny xxx

    • A beautiful tree. I think the colours have been spectacular this year because the trees held on to their leaves for so long but they are being blown off now but we still have some colour to enjoy before it all goes down-hill.

    • Rosy replied 1 year ago

How glorious are the colours produced on those trees this year JENNY, veritable jewels of the forest. Thank you for bringing the photos here to gladden our eyes.

    • Smashing photos. The colours have been lovely this year and they’ve held on so long, though after this dreadful weather has cleared up who knows.

    • Lorna replied 1 year ago

Stunning. Lovely photos of the Acer.

They definitely need the double stuff sort LINDA, it\’s going to be cold!

  • Jenny C posted a new activity comment 1 year ago

Well at least that might seem normal, if more expensive on the heating LORNA. Some crisp cold weather would be welcome, very damp and quite warm today but the wind getting up from the North.

  • Jenny C posted a new activity comment 1 year ago

LINDA, thanks for asking, a bit better today, Maurice has it too. I have had my haircut for Christmas and picked up Lucy from school, we took her for tea at McDonald\’s and, guess what, I had a OREO McFlurry ice-cream. πŸ™‚ So have been out all day, kept going with Strepsils and Anadin Extra.

πŸ™‚ Thanks for the other lovely photos, don\’t blame the voles for lying in one bit, creatures after my own heart, I think we should all hibernate now.

And lots of ticks too, poor things. The two baby Hoggies I have taken in over the years fortunately were not infested, but haven’t seen any in the garden for some months now, I think they are frightened of the Border Terrorists even if they are both, decrepit at the moment, on lame and other not sure which direction she is going in!! Doggy…[Read more]
