Hi Jenny, it is a horrible condition. My Dad had the wet psoriasis, which thankfully mine isn’t. I have had it on my elbows for years, which flare up now an then, but this past while it was coming out everywhere on my body, and where the skin had split and cracked, you then had bits of skin sticking up and if you catch them on clothing it pulls it…[Read more]

    • SUSAN, you hadnt been well for a while, with one thing after the other, and maybe that`s what kick-started the psoriasis off. Anyway, you seem to be on the mend and that`s the main thing. You take care of yourself now, no overdoing anything. (((HUGS)))

Thanks Peter, its been a nightmare, but hopefully getting on top of it now x

    • I think when you pass a certain age you never really get on top of it you just learn to cope and soldier on. Just when I think my body has stopped falling apart the Dr finds something new. One of my vertebrae in my neck has slipped forward due to the degeneration and I am growing a new pair of ribs that are usually just fibers at the bottom of…[Read more]

Afternoon Everyone, and a very Happy New Year to each and every one of you.
I was on a few days ago, but for some reason it wouldn’t let me post anything.
I am so sorry for being away for so long, but I went right down in the dumps, what with one thing after another. My psoriasis really got me down when it spread to my fingers and hand and I…[Read more]

    • Oh my SUSAN, you poor thing. I dont suffer from psoriasis, but know a couple of folks that do. It isnt pleasant at all. Hopefully you are now feeling better after everything else, so your skin problem should show signs of improving too.

    • HI SUSAN – I really do hope that 2016 will prove to be a HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and that your psoriasis clears up soon, it’s a truly horrible condition and causes untold pain and misery, which then makes it worse, you have all my sympathy.

Morning All, so sorry for being awol again, but I haven’t been well again, had a really bad cold and its went into my chest, yes another chest infection, and lots of coughing. I have to go back to the Doc’s on thursday. I feel really bad for not being on much. I definitely need a new body now.
Hope everyone is ok and keeping warm through the…[Read more]

    • Hi Susan – hope you are feeling a lot better now. Don’t worry about not being here – we want you to get better xxx

    • Oh SUSAN, so sorry that you are still poorly. I did wonder if that chest infection was still hanging around, and sorry to read that it is. You take care of yourself now and keep warm. Like JACK`s says, we want you to get better, and to be in good health.

    • Hi SUSAN, sorry you’re poorly again, hope you soon feel better and get the chest infection sorted out.

    • Wrap up well on Thursday. Hope the doctor can help.

    • Sorry to hear you are unwell again, SUSAN – do hope you are soon feeling better

LOL, I know what you mean Erica. I had to stop mine from going on and off, on and off, on and off, I just keep it on now until I go to bed, then switch it back to the on/off mode. Fortunately my torch is one of those large powerful ones, like a spotlight, so I can see way up to the back of the garden to make sure I’ve not missed any foxes. The…[Read more]

Hi Rosy. I will try to get an appointment this week to see the doctor again and I certain;y mention about taking this further as Im fed up with it. My back I think is just down to my osteoarthritis. I have been using my walking stick but doesn’t really help when my back is like this, just plenty of painkillers, lol.
    Your monthly meeting sounded…[Read more]

Sorry the weather wasn\’t great for you Jack. I think the fireworks should be banned maybe just for displays, but the are getting louder and louder each year. Hope you enjoyed Strictly though. We are still having the odd firework here too. I just feel for the wildlife when they go off. x

I looked in early one and it looked like rain there too Lorna. I think it was last year when we were up at Lowes, the rain had come on and one of the squirrels had actually went inside one of the peanut feeders to get out of the rain, it was quite funny watching it x

Thanks Jack, I certainly will, its getting beyond a joke now, but I never thought about googling it lol. I got some antiseptic eye wipes which help to open my eyes in the morning X

Yeah they will have to do something my eyes are red raw and so itchy, gooey and crusty

Thanks Erica. I hope so too as Im getting reallysick of it now.
It hasn\’t stopped raining here all day Erica. My back garden light went last night and its to wet to try to change it so Im having to feed the foxes with a big torch I have, lol
Hopefully if the rain stops tomorrow I can get the bulb changed x

    • We had to feed the badgers In the dark when our light went some days ago. It was mended on Friday but it cuts out rather soon before either of quite gets back to the house. I expect many of us present quite a comic picture creeping about in the dark with a torch and a jug of food.

    • SUSAN gentle (((HUGS))). Sorry to hear about your back, but you must be concerned about another attack of conjunctivitis. Perhaps a referral to a Specialist, rather than seeing the Dr again is warranted. Hope its sorted for you earlier than later.

    • Susan – just did a quick Google of conjunctivitis and find there can be a number of causes. Your doctor needs to investigate further to determine the reason you are getting it so often – obviously the root cause hasn’t been identified and treated. It’s miserable for you so I should press for swabs to be taken etc. Good luck.
